Out in the Community

At BigDog Support Services, we believe that being part of the community is about much more than simply getting out of the house—it's about building friendships, developing confidence, learning new skills, and enjoying life.
Our community activities are designed to help participants explore new interests, strengthen their independence, and become active members of their local community.
We offer a diverse range of activities that cater to different interests and abilities. Whether it's enjoying a fun game of ten pin bowling, attending exciting Big Days Out, participating in sporting and recreational activities, or receiving support with everyday tasks such as grocery shopping, our experienced team is there to provide encouragement and assistance every step of the way.
Each activity is tailored to the participant's individual goals, interests, and support needs, ensuring meaningful and enjoyable experiences.BigDog also recognises the importance of building confidence and staying safe within the community.
Our community safety programs help participants develop practical skills such as road safety, using public transport, personal safety awareness, money handling, and making informed decisions while out and about. These valuable life skills promote greater independence and empower participants to navigate their communities with confidence.Every community outing is an opportunity to learn, connect and grow.
At BigDog, we are committed to creating inclusive, enjoyable experiences that encourage social participation, foster lasting friendships, and help people living with disability achieve their personal goals while living rich, active and fulfilling lives.
