BigDog Support Services provides engaging, person-centred Day Service programs that empower people living with disability to build independence, develop new skills, form meaningful friendships, and actively participate in their local communities. Every program is designed around the individual goals, interests, and aspirations of our participants, ensuring that each day is enjoyable, purposeful, and rewarding.
Our Day Service programs offer a diverse range of activities that promote learning, health, wellbeing, creativity, and social inclusion.
Participants can enjoy community outings, ten-pin bowling, sporting and recreational activities, arts and crafts, music, cooking, gardening, life skills development, grocery shopping, educational workshops, and visits to local attractions. We also encourage participants to become involved in volunteering opportunities, community events, fundraising activities, and celebrations that recognise important national awareness days.
At BigDog, we believe that meaningful participation extends beyond our centres. Our experienced support staff work alongside participants to develop confidence, increase independence, strengthen communication skills, and encourage active involvement in community life. Whether learning practical daily living skills, trying a new hobby, making new friends, or exploring new places, participants are supported every step of the way.
With programs operating across our regional hubs, including Toowoomba and Rockhampton, BigDog is committed to providing flexible, innovative, and inclusive Day Services that enhance quality of life and create opportunities for every participant to reach their full potential.
