BigDog Support Services plans and delivers a diverse calendar of community events across its regional hubs, including Toowoomba and Rockhampton, creating opportunities for participants, families, staff, and the wider community to connect while supporting important causes.Throughout the year, BigDog hosts monthly morning tea fundraisers and themed community events that raise awareness and funds for a variety of national charities and health initiatives. These include the Australia Day BBQ, Wear Red Day to Keep Hearts Beating, World's Greatest Shave, Go Blue for Autism, Australia's Biggest Morning Tea, Daffodil Day, Movember, Crazy Hair Day, Jeans for Genes, and Christmas celebrations.
These events not only support worthwhile organisations but also encourage social inclusion, community participation, and meaningful conversations about health, disability, and wellbeing.
In addition to fundraising activities, BigDog organises a wide range of themed participation events, including Australian culture, Valentine's Day, Easter, Christmas in July, Footy Finals, Haloween and local safety awareness programs. These activities promote independence, build confidence, strengthen social connections, and enable participants to actively engage in their local communities.
