A Legacy of Stories, Achievement and Community

Since 2009, BigDog Support Services has proudly published regular newsletters that have become much more than a record of our organisation—they are a living history of our journey alongside the people we support.
For more than 17 years, these newsletters have documented our growth, celebrated achievements, and shared the stories that define our commitment to inclusion, independence and community participation.
Every edition captures moments that matter. From client successes and community events to innovative programs, staff milestones and organisational achievements, our newsletters showcase the positive impact that BigDog has made across Queensland. They reflect the dedication of our participants, support workers, volunteers and partners who work together every day to create opportunities and improve lives.
Our newsletters also serve as an important source of disability-related news and information. They feature articles on the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), disability rights, accessibility, advocacy, community initiatives and emerging issues affecting people living with disability.
By sharing knowledge, practical resources and inspiring personal stories, we aim to educate, empower and strengthen our community.
Looking back through our newsletters provides a remarkable snapshot of how both BigDog Support Services and the disability sector have evolved over the years.
They highlight changing legislation, advances in inclusive practices, new services and technologies, and the growing recognition of the rights and contributions of people with disability. Most importantly, they tell the stories of resilience, determination and achievement that continue to inspire us all.
This collection stands as a valuable archive of our history and our ongoing commitment to making a positive difference.
As we look to the future, we remain dedicated to sharing the stories that celebrate people's achievements, promote inclusion, and demonstrate the lasting impact that can be achieved when communities work together.
