Out in the Community

Below are some of the activities facilitated by BigDog Support services that get you Out in the Community.

All of our activities are easily modified for all levels of ability.

Capras Community Care Program

Capras Community Care is a Community-Based Program that, in partnership with BigDog Support Services, provides support, education, well-being and genuine care for our Rockhampton communities, with a particular focus on our CHILDREN, who are our FUTURE.

Library Visits

Join in each week at the Library for some reading fun! Obtain your very own Library Card so you can hire movies, games, novels or audiobooks. Join in with the circle reading sessions and undertake a music or craft workshop. A fun and interactive group to be a part of, improve your literacy and grow more confident.

Bowling

Fun for any age and ability, it’s indoors, non-contact and low-impact. What a great sport to get involved in and encourage your fellow teammates in when
they get that converted strike/spare.

BBQ in the Park

Each week after bowling (depending on the weather) we head to a local park and the bowling group shares a BBQ lunch.

Big Days Out

We love planning big outings here at BigDog. Join us to visit the tourist hot spots, the zoo, the gardens as well as regular Art Gallery  & Museum visits.  Sufficient notice of these more adventurous trips is given due to the time and cost constraints on participants to be involved.
